This kind of happened to me. you should just keep putting the person online for a little, & then, make them get off for a while. after a bit of time, you should have a proposal!

Well you will find a yellow letter on the top on the computer sometimes letters sometimes marriage proposal it will tell you everything about them just drag them to the computer

You can pay to adopt a child. I had a generation that never received a proposal, adopting was my only chance at game continuation. As soon as my spinster died, the adult adopted child immediately got an invitation for marriage. Good luck.
