Benefit of enigmatic seed

Is there anyone who van tell me what is the benefit of using enigmatic seeds? They are very 'expansive' and the only outcome I've had from them is normal plants... Do you have to do something special? Do I Miss something?

They ARE so expensive, and I got seaweed from mine! So ticked! 10K for grass? This game better work on some things. I'm not planting another enigmatic seed, the (newly raised price) mystery seed will have to do.

"supposedly" it gives u a better chance at a rare than the regulare mystery seed. beside making you buy it for challenges, the only point of it is for people who do not want to use real money to buy pearls. the pearls guarantee you a rare plant, but if you dont want to spend real money to buy pearls to buys that rare seed, the enigmatic seed and reg mystery seed are your only options. from what i have seen and heard, it usually only actually grows a rare plant if you plant several of them at a time and harvest them all together, sort of like with the reg mystery seed. except there is no sparkles that appear to let you know if you will get one or not. i think i had to plant maybe 3 of them to actually get a rare plant. hint- on level 24 you have to GROW a rare plant from EACH of the 3 mystery seeds. it takes ALOT of time, money, and algae so SAVE UP!

I'm not sure if there's anything to it yet, but I was on a roll planting mystery seeds anywhere that purple glowing light was around the plant combos that attract the little fish. I planned 6 seeds and got 3 rate plants to pop up. It just doesn't seem to work more than once for the same location of purple light plant combos. But I think there's something to out whenI've gotten a rate plant and fish from each purple light plant combo.

I planted an enigmatic seed in a lighted area. It did show sparkles when I fed it and it turned out to be a rare plant. Good thing because they are expensive and gobble down the algae.
