The red octopus left, even after planting the correct red and lilac catpathias not branches... will guests come back at a later time for a second chance?

I lost the yellow jelly fish and it came back after a few other fish had joined. I was getting worried bc I felt like it was taking too long and that he wasn't going to come back but he did.
