Question & Answers

How can the game be so different for different people?

Ok, I understand about the rare seeds being by chance, but how can 1 person go 15 levels without any new rare fish, yet another person gets 6 New rare fish in 1 level? Granted that we're all planting seeds like crazy, but also, how can a person several levels below me have 6 more rare fish than me, when my vitality has been 100% since level 10? And of course I'm planting all that I can, how is it possible for the game to vary so much? Surely does anyone understand?

Ok, good, LB, I'm glad it worked for you, I visit yours about everyday, but there has been nothing to collect, but the same with other reefs as well. My cats paw is all patched up & gathered together to make it easier for visitors to find, to the right of cats paw are egg shell coral patches, happy tapping! By the way, you are 4 levels below me & doing WAY better than me with 6 more rare than me, wonder if it's because you have SO much algae or MAYBE, I just thought of this, what if it's because you feed ALL your fish? I'm going to increase algae production & see what happens, yeah. Thanks for giving me a new idea to try!

I don't think feeding the fish has anything to do with how often you get rare fish. I think its just random. You have to wait until you have your rare fish to plant what will keep it in your reef...it would be helpful if there was some guidelines.. Wouldn't? You can visit my reef if you want nemo6051.

@ Snookie: I have added both LIGHTBIKE2527 and u, and also LB is 3 levels below u. Also, how much is the highest rare fish u have? I see that u have way more than me: I only have the green parrotfish, the yellow loinfish, and the orange mandirinfish.

First, nemo6051: About guidance, at net gamer .com, (all one word)is a walk through for the game. When you GROW a new RARE plant a new rare fish shows up & stays, the ones you have to plant for them to stay are called guest fish. You may only have 3 rare because you are on lower level. God of reefs: My last guest was the white sea Dragon, but, can't remember the last rare one it's been so long, but I'm on level 28. Dadoffive2 is on level 50 & has 56 rare fish if I remember correctly. I highly recommended visiting his reef for inspiration if you'd get bored or discouraged or dislike hide & seek as I do! I thought LIGHT BIKE was the one several levels below me, but with 6 more rare fish than me, but I may have confused it with another reef. I think I have about 10 rare so far, but I also have done homework, quests, challenges diligently & yet have missed fish somehow! I know because there are spots missing in my rare fish book.

Ok correction, I've got 22 total rare fish & none of the limited ones, my last rare was the Emerald Angel fish, I think. LIGHTBIKE, looking at your reef, unless yo play 24/7 I can't figure out how yo manage 109k algae, by way to go, most I've ever had was below 30,000-time to get to tapping....

Answer from: LIGHTBIKE2527
My cats paw coral patch gives me 720 algae every 10:00:00.

Posted: May 15, 2014, 14:12 PM

Answer from: Snookie
Yeah, but that is 720 every 10 hrs, I've got more than one cats paw patch & never been near 105k algae! But hey since you are playing 2 different games are they playing out the same or differently? I'll tell you the mistake I think I made was selling off some rare plants out of frustration that they weren't NEW rare plants. Even though I've maintained 100% vitality, I should have never sold them.

Answer from: Dee
Why, Snookie? I think it's okay to get rid of extras and make some room to plant more producing plants. Don't keep a bunch of things that just take up space, esp if you're trying to increase your stores of algae and coins. I've got millions, and I don't worry about the extra plants at all. Why do you think it was a mistake?

Answer from: Raine1111
I agree with dee enjoy the reef it's yours I was tense about my first reef just had do it right by the time I got to 50 I was more relaxed enjoy the game this other reef I just take my time and see it grow the way I won't .

Answer from: Lyn
The problem with selling off plants is that at the next level you vitality drops and you have to buy more again. I always wait until I jump a new level to be sure it won't matter. I also sell ornamental plants that the mystery seeds grow since they are new and my vitality was not increased by them if I am at 100% already. Of course I keep the more expensive ornamentals they grow, especially the ones that would have cost pearls to buy. But I have gotten too many cheap ones.

As for algea growers, I have tons if eggshells in patches that give me a lot every hour. I won't buy pearl plants or choral. I don't feed the expensive fish. I stop at 15,000 algea feeders. I get enough pearls with cheaper fish without draining my bank. When they start to cost hundreds of thousands of pearls it just isn't worth it.

Answer from: LIGHTBIKE2527
@ Snookie: I sold a bunch of duplicate rares and never once got docked. My 100% vitality might stay until I hit level 41!

@ God of Reefs: the highest one I have so far is the Green Emperor Angelfish. You need to attract it by the Green Halimeda Plant, and you need to feed it 35,000 algae!

Answer from: Snookie
Hi everyone, I'm about to level up to 29 & the Green Emperior Angel was my last New rare fish so long ago that I can't remember how many levels ago. What I meant about not selling any rare plants, is that first it is not recommended in the tips & tricks section, second, even though it may say 100% vitality if I had not sold the rare ones my vitality NUMBER (which is under vitality like this 56000/56000) might be higher.

I may not have explained that we'll, but I'm distracted because I just noticed none of my ornamental are producing any algae & since I can't patch them what in the world am I going to do?

Answer from: REEFMASTER
Ornamentals don't produce algae, silly! They give u vitality tho.

Posted: May 26, 2014, 12:04 PM

Answer from: Snookie
I didn't mean to say ornamental, I was confused about something else that I can't explain.
