What is coal, dodo feathers and ember for?
I have these items but don't know what to do with them. Also, I'm completely out of food and surrounded by water I can't cross yet. I'm injured and don't know what to do!

Coal can be used as a fuel for camp-fires, furnaces and kilns. Dodo feathers can be used as a purple dye. I'm not sure what you can do with embers though. The only thing I can think of doing would be to try and swim across the river, this would probably take a long time though. Also you can sleep without a bed by clicking on the small picture of your person and clicking sleep. I hope I helped :)

You can heal injuries by eating food. Don't try and swim too far - you'll just get exhausted. Dig a cave someplace and start a camp. You can plant food & trees in dirt and multiply your food supply that way. Take some time off from exploring and focus on building supplies and tools. Oh and you're going to need clothes in winter, so get some flax/leather/fur and the tailoring bench.

Coal can help with refueling your fires. Dodo feathers can be used to make colors, and ember is used to burn things.

Dig dirt for worms u can eat and just dig a underground home and upgrade ur benches and u will be able to craft a boat over time. You shouldnt use ember cuz it just burns trees.
