How do you build a house? What materials do I need and what do I do with them?

You have to get something like wood then you place the wood on top of a door and connect the wood to make a ceiling and then you can make a roof or whatever it is and build the wood to go up like an arrow and then go down to make it. then if you would like a chimeny you put it on the half of a roof and put a bunch of the crafting tables like the tool table going sideways then you make a bed one block away from the crafting tables and then you could end there with a wall or replace it with another door and make a patio. You put stone in the ground and wood con necting to the very bottom of the roof as much length as the stone ground of the patio. make it at least 5 blocks long for the roof and ground of the patio. then you could put the fire in the middle of the patio. if you dont want a patio then put the fire on the ground outside your house. dont put the fire close to a bed because it can catch on fire if you dont know that. then you go to the fire and you make torches for light. put it on the walls on your house. i put my house near the portal in case i need to do something from it. did this help?

Get a few wood. Or build it underground. It's easy if you keep expanding. My first house was underground. Then wood. Then stone, limestone then red bricks

You can make a house with dirt, wood, stone, limestone, red brick, or place it in the mine or even like the house that is on the sky. (you need enough materials to build on the sky)

Here is a very simple explanation. Obviously take some dirt, wood, limestone, stone, brick, etc from your inventory or chest and place it wherever you want your house. Clear a space first. Oh, also make it about 4-5 squares high, 4-10 squares wide. Hope this helped! :)

Oh and just a tip, If you make your house out of wood, do NOT put your fire on the floor. You'll burn your whole house down.

Because you just begun, you need dirt. and when your blockhead is having a bigger house, when you know how to mine,and chop trees, you can make it from:dirt to wood or wood to
stone or stone to limestone orlimestone to red brick, but if you want a beautiful one, glass is the one that fits for you.
