You need a workbench level one, one dirt and one stick. Craft the craft bench for the one stick and dirt. Once it's crafted, you need some limestone to update it to level 2. Limestone is yellowish blocks that appear in caves and around stone. Once you dig up a block, go back to your caftbench and update it to level 2. Then, you will need some Flax. Flax spawns near trees and is a bushy-like plant. It produces flax and flax seeds, which are edible. It is best to use a machete to destroy the plant, result: more flax and one seed. Make sure to destroy them when the plant is mature. Once you get a flax, go on a search for carrots. Carrots spawn near donkeys, and donkeys spawn near carrots. Get it? Carrots are in donkey area. Finally, grab a stick. Sticks are produced when a branch is destroyed off of a tree. Once you have these items, go to the craft bench and make string with the flax. String takes a couple minutes or so, so be patient. Then you can finally craft carrot on a stick. Riding donkeys is simple now; tap the carrot on a stick and then the donkey.
