Head start
How do I do a head start in temple run?

Well there is a button that sometimes flashes at the beginning of the game. It has black and white checkerboard and then a green arrow coming from it. Click that if you want a boost. But it does cost like 2500 coins, so only if you want to spend coins tap it. I honk you can also unlock them in the 'upgrades' tab after you've died.
