Question & Answers
What does the shield do?
I get this power up all the time but I have no idea what it does!
Answer from: Jake Hurd
The Shield acts as a protective barrier, preventing the runner from tripping, banging their head, being pulverized by spikes, or being incinerated. It does not, however, prevent the runner from falling/jumping off a ledge or railway.
Answer from: Temple runner 2
So far nothing, does not prevent any damage at all. Death with shield active is frustrating, does not prevent trips, or end game from head clearance, spikes, flames or giant monkey bird. Complete waste.

Someone explain in detail to me how the save me gems work please. I can have 13 gems saved, use 4, then have only 2 left. I don't get it. And it only lets me use a few gems at a time to restart the game no matter how many I have saved up. Ugg. I don't understand the way a lot of these powerups work. Too confusing for the avg. bear.
Answer from: mark
Each time you use the gems to save you (during one game) the number of gems consumed doubles. First time you save yourself, one gem, next time, two, then four, then eight.
Answer from: Peter
When you had 13 gems and used them 4 times in one run it is as follows: first use 0 gems (1-1), second use 1 gem (2-1), thirth use 3 gems (4-1) and fourth use 7 gems (8-1) what makes a total of 11 used gems in one run. So if you start with 13 you will end up with 2 left.
