Rare monsters dead?

So I've got zuko monsters but when I go to the "world 2" it says its unlocked a new rare monster in there, fair enough. So (on a very awesome encounter I see the rare one. I didn't have enough bolts to capture it... So I killed it. Can I still catch him or is he dead forever?
