Invite vs Waiting?
In the friends tab, what's the difference between Invite and Waiting? I haven't given my code to six people, yet there are six people in the invite section. When I input a code someone gave me they always go to waiting. But there are many people in waiting I have not invited. How do people end up in each of these sections? Thanks. Ellen

The game will invite random friends for you every 8 (if I remember correctly) hours and you can invite friends whenever and often as you want. Your invite code that you give out will change once the friends you've given it to use it to add you after 2 or 3 friends have used the code. The random friends the game invites does not use your invite code and it will stay the same throughout that process.

The people in the Invite tab are put there by the game as possible friends. You can Add or visit these individuals. If you Add a person from the Invite tab, they move to the waiting tab, marked waiting for a reply, then that person has to decide to accept or reject your invitation. Visiting someone in the invite tab does nothing except let you see their desktop. You cannot act on their desk top as you can when visiting your friends (charging awards/pictures). If you do not add anyone from the Invite tab, the game will change the people on a regular basis or you can spend 4 or 5 crystals to update at that time.
I do not know why you have a lot of people in the waiting tab. They can be removed if you do not wish to have them as friends
Sorry for the long winded partial answer. Hope it helped a bit!
See the thread "remove from waiting area?" to remove unwanted individuals from waiting tab.
