To me it looks like a miniture japanese zen garden - the type you can buy that is just a small tray of sand with a minture rake and some stones. But maybe someone else knows better. It is white rectangle with a thick brown frame, and a red stick coming out from centre over edge and some other details above red stick.

Is this in the Japanese Garden picture? If so, it is a small Tabletop Zen garden, looks a little like a mini sandbox with rocks and a small rake. The idea is to use the rake to make patterns in the sand, its supposed to help with relaxation. When I can't figure out what a new item is, I use the seekers eye the first time so I know what I'm looking for.

Ah! Thank you, I couldn't figure it out either. I'm still disappointed that the Japanese house replaced Window to Metropolis which I enjoyed as a picture as much as I enjoyed searching it.

Hi Janie - I really dislike the new Japanese house version of the picture too, but it helped me finally put my finger on why I like or dislike random pictures. I think it is just too busy, whereas the original Window to Metropolis was really quite nice to look at. The pictures that have too much going on wreck my eyes if I am playing a lot (though i am sure they are fine to look at on their own, just when actually playing the game a lot it gets tiring). I like the plain looking pictures with warmer colour tones, and play them the most when running out of steam at the end a marathon session. I think it is still possible to make a picture challenging without making it so bright and busy. Misty shed was a challenge to do when first released, but it is a nice picture. But I guess everyone will have different tastes, so it's good that they try to have variety, just wish they hadn't taken away one type to add another.

Janie, I miss the Metropolis picture too and it was the easiest one for me. By the way, you are a wonderful friend, miss I could return the favor and give more.

I agree, I am not too fond of either of the two new pictures. Both the Japanese Garden and the Tree of Dates are very busy and the items you have to find are very small and hard to see. Gives me eye strain. Once I get through the Valentine's Day challenge, I will probably avoid these two unless I need to go into them to find items for quests.

Yes, the word 'tacky' came to mind when I saw both the new pictures. Oh well. Alice, I am more than happy with what you send me! You are a great friend, as is Natasha, and I'm finding the visiting and gifting is something I really enjoy on this game. I'm always delighted when I see a collection item on someone's gift list and I have it to give! I only wish I'd discovered this site sooner when I started playing.
