Question & Answers

Research vs buy on scenes

Sometimes when I go to play a scene instead of saying "research" it says "buy" . At some point it may return to "research" but "Mill" never has. Of course I don't have enough crystals to buy but I wouldn't anyway. Has this happened to anyone else...what gives?

Carrie buy means you don't have enough ladybugs to play the game. There are 4 games you need extra items in order to play the game, ladybugs for the Mill, carrots for the Illusionists room, fireflies for night garden and arrows for Tree of Dates. You can see the requirements on the left side under the picture under the Demands section. Usually you only need energy. You can earn these extra items in different rooms or by combining certain collections. Ladybugs for the mill can be earned when playing the Library. Hope this helps

Hi Carrie. For so-called paid scenes like the Night Garden, the Mill and the Illusionist's Room, a certain number of special items (fireflies, ladybugs and carrots), in addition to the usual energy points, are required to play the scene. If you don't have enough of these special items in your inventory when trying to play the scene you will see the word 'buy' where you normally see the word 'research'. In the same window where you see either 'buy' or 'research' is a section called Demands where the number of energy points as well as the number of special items required to play the scene are shown. The number of special items required is dependent on the level you have currently reached in that particular scene. It increases with each achieved level. Ladybugs are not so easy to come by and this may explain why you usually see the buy button when trying to play the Mill. Ladybugs can be received as gifts from friends, can be earned while visiting friends and by playing the Ancient Library. Hope this helps. Ab
