Question & Answers
Completely lost the game - do I want to start over?
So, my game kept crashing tonight so I contacted Amazon and the lovely Angela walked me through a fix. Only trouble is the fix completely wiped out my game so I am back to Level 1 and was at 87. Amazon was kind enough to refund me for the crystals I purchased along the way so that's a nice thing. Not sure if I'm going to go back. Is this reason enough to buy an iPad so I won't feel like I'm the step-child?

I love my iPad
Answer from: Kathie
Oh Sue this is terrible. I also love my iPad but have never used a kindle. I have a kobo android device but only use it as a reader. There's tons of us that would help you get back to where you were if you do decide to go that route, or if the Kindle ever gets updated properly. You wouldn't have to buy any crystals. Simply post what you decide.

Sue I am so sorry to hear you have lost your progress. I too have thought about a IPad. What did they do that had you lose all your progress so the rest of us don't do it. Did your game update to the old version? I really like this game but I sure am tired of all the problems with playing on a kindle and the glitches that seem to effect the game no matter what device you're on. I know all the people on this site will help you get back to where you were pretty quickly if that is what you decide to do, they have helped me recover when I have crashed or I would have given up a long time ago.

What a huge drag, Sue! I'm so sorry -- but as others have said: I love my iPad; and if you do decide to rebuild (as I hope you will!), I and many others will help you regain your progress fast. Good luck and keep your chin up.

PS. One of the things I love about my iPad is Time Traveling -- which is simple (as long as you never go into the future, just the past, and remember to reset your Pad to the correct day/time when you're done). I don't know whether it's as easy on a Kindle.

Yep love the iPad and a group of us have stockpiles to help out. Ask Annette, she recently had to restart. I accidentally went forward in time once, was not difficult to sort out after. I hope you stay. If you do I would love to help out. Just pm me if you want.

Sue, I understand how you feel, an earlier update wiped out my game back to level one and all my collections were gone. My friends list was left intact. I started over that time. Before the current update I was level 135 and had stockpiled hundreds of collections and amulets. I haven't been able to open my game for days. I've done the Clean Master thing and cleared my cache, no change. My game still tries to download version 1.8, fails to install, and kicks me back to the kindle home screen. I love the game, but don't think I can stand to start over again, not on a Kindle or an iPad. The idea of playing the same scenes the number of times it takes to get to Magister level again makes me sad.

I hear you MoellerMom. If this newest thing can't be fixed, I think I'm done. I'm really addicted to the game too. You guys have been thru way more than me, I can't even imagine how you must have felt. Brace for the worst and hope for the best.

This is just awful beyond comprehension. G5 have a lot to answer for. @Sue, if my ipad gave up today, I would buy a new one that same hour. I love my Ipad. We will help you rebuild.

This is exactly what happened to me too a few days ago, SueKindle! I updated the game days ago, couldn't get onto the game at all for a couple of days after the update but when I finally was able to log on it automatically started me out as a new player! Before the update, I'm a newbie so I'd only been playing for like a week and I was only on level 14, but still I hate having to replay the game from the beginning. Yesterday I logged on by sheer luck and played 15 mins and got to level 3 before the game crashed again! I try off and on throughout the day to see if the game will let me log back on but no luck. I'm beyond fed up. :(

Trying to be Betty Brightside here, the good thing about restarting is that you already know where all the items lurk in the pictures so you can level up an awful lot faster than first time around. Also, your friends can slamdunk you with collections for energy and power and because you're playing 'catch-up' all your friends will already have all the quest items so when you put them on your WL there should be a swift response. None of the above negates the complete awfulness of what's happened but hopefully makes the idea of starting again a lot less daunting.

Oh no Sue! Don't want to sound biased but my sister had (key word) a Kindle and my husband has a tablet. For myself, I have an iPad--love it! My sister got herself an iPad and my husband is in the process of purchasing one as well. As PKP has mentioned, TT mad multiplying is very simple on an iPad. Hope you decide to rebuild. Have tons to send your way if you do!

Sue, I'm so sorry to here about your game loss; I can't imagine how you must feel. I noticed that you were gone from my friends list last night and thought that was strange, because you were there when I gifted you a few hours earlier. Now, I know why. I can also understand your questioning which way to turn now - back to Kindle and start over, or switch to iPad and start over. Either way, it's back to square one, but at least with the iPad when/if more new releases come out you won't feel like the unwanted step-child. When I woke up this morning, I could no longer get into the game. The old intro screen came up and then I got kicked out. I'm wondering what to do now, as well. For me, the downfall of switching to iPad besides the money, is the idea of starting over. I don't really want to think about that right now. I will give it a few days and see what happens. In the mean time, I guess I can get some work done around the house. I hope everything works out on your end, and that I will see you again on the other side.

Sue, I'm so sorry this happened to you. As someone who also crashed and had to start over, please know that everyone here is overwhelmingly generous and will help you rebuild quickly. I play on a Nexus now and love it...but we're still a bit of a stepchild (android) when it comes to updates. Whatever you decide to do, we will be here to support you. Sure hope you decide to keep playing...you are a wonderful friend!
Answer from: Marg
Hi Sue, so sorry to read your sad saga! Such a shame. I do hope they can soon sort out the kindle problems. Dont give up!
I play on a Nexus too. I can multiply although not as easy as before the update. Can TT too. The Nexus seems to be a tolerant beast. I have never played on an iPad. There are lots of us who would be more than willing to help people restart if your game totally goes. My details & code is on my profile, so if you decide to stay I would love to help out! marg (margNoTys)

Well I was on level 56 and I use a kindle fire. I sometimes have a hard time trying to click on the the game on my shelf. It says unable to open and sends me to the game store tab where it says open and install. Well normally I just exit and do it over until the game pulls up normally. This time I accidentally hit open and when it opened I lost all my artifacts and collections. I lost my inventory (lunch box) and talisman. I kept my friends, level number 56 but all my levels are back at the beginning. What do I do? I pissed about my lunchbox.
