ICloud is sufficient?
Hello there! Can anyone confirm that backing up the game to iCould is sufficient to completely restore the game back to its latest update/progress in the case of complete crashing or needing to reinstall the game app? I'd rather not go through the iFundbox route if I don't have to. Many thanks in advance!!

I don't feel great about it but you can restore your game from the cloud. You have to do a complete restore though, you can't just reload the game files. You are basically doing the equivalent of a reformat on your iPad and then loading the backup from the date you choose. If you have SS marked for backing up to the cloud, and any other apps you care about, you should be ok. Check that out so you can add any other apps you care about.

I have iCloud but also ifunbox for storing this game. The game is an absolute memory hog.

Hmm.. I had a back up from icloud that fell over - so backed up from itunes instead. I never tried it a second time - and things do glitch with wi-fi. I itunes back up at home, and icloud back up when away, and hope that all will be well. :)
(Two days ago, while travelling, my beloved original ipad died. RIP Paddy. But when I got home I managed to convince his little brother that he could restore to Paddy's settings, which is AWESOME. A two day break, but I have my game back, albeit on a smaller screen. I will continue to itunes back up regularly, it was so easy to restore!)

I have an iPad mini and apparently every time I plug it in and turn it on it backs up everything to the cloud. When my ipad melted , Apple replaced it and everything including my game came back. So the cloud worked for me.

Thanks everyone! So from what I gathered iCloud and iTunes backup, which is to the computer hard drive, will do the job. I think I'll back up to both. Thanks again guys!
