Question & Answers
Quests completed automatically
This happened before I went away for 3 weeks in July and I have not had a chance to post. I've had several quests where I had several of each of the collection items- so I just combined the collection 5 times and never searched for any of the items. After doing one of these, all of a sudden completed quests flew across my screen- I never even saw the quest itself, just the fact that they were completed. I think this happened for one complete collection, then part of a second one (or maybe 2 complete collections?). If I recall correctly, they were Cornelius' things that I always have a ton of from playing Gem Match. Has this happened to anyone else? The quests just completed themselves, I didn't have to combine the collection for it to happen.

Sort of. I had one today where I earned items early on (before the task was issued) and then when the task came about, I combined the collection and some of the tasks related to that quest were suddenly completed.

Hi RatSeeker - yes this happened to me with some of the 9 'bogus' collections. I had combined 5 collections of each set and had about 10 spares of each item left in my inventory. They just flew in and out from my task list - fantastic to watch :-)

To be sure, I waited until I had no more quests, then completed the remaining collections.

Elvis and Grey- There were times when I did complete a collection and that counted for the quest I was on and the collection. But this was different- I didn't do anything. I never saw the actual quest come up, the completed quest windows flew by, all in a row. I didn't have a chance to do anything.
Yes Sue- it was neat to watch- and I just wanted it to keep going! Pretty sure it wasn't a bogus collection, though! Wish I had had time to post about it when it happened so I could recall all the details.

Yeah. It did that to me several times as well. Never did figure out what triggered it, but it was fun to watch.

I agree about not figuring out what triggers it. Sometimes it happens to me for an entire collection, sometimes only for part of the collection. For example, I had one collection where after I collected the 2nd item, the 3rd through 5th popped up as completed and then the collection completed even though I didn't actually combine the collection at that time - it simply acknowledged that I had combined the collection before.
Yet I currently have to collect Cornelius' things, a collection I have combined over a dozen times before. I have more than 10 of each item except the red ribbon. Sadly, it won't do the "already combined" thing so I have to keep searching and now I have even more of the book cover and other items while that ribbon remains elusive! *sigh*

It just happened to me. I started to multiply gifts and all of a sudden a whole series of completed quests screens went flying by. They were for the 5 different teas. I had that collection combined in the past but was not currently duplicating any cups of tea. I thought OMG what did I hit to cause this? It was weird but fun to watch. Wish it wouldn't end. ;-)
