Question & Answers

Does anyone else multiply this way?

I was just wondering if anyone else can or does multiply the way I've been for the last few days? Except gorlac, I got the idea to try it from his post under the thread "Attn all kindle players--you can multiply gifts" by lrf not long ago. I've tried this on both my games and so far it works really well on the kindle and it's so much faster. First I open my gift box and accept all gifts without hitting thank you. I always hit thank you my final time. Then without closing my gift box I hit the tab on the right side, (3 little lines) then swipe down at the top to access the wireless menu. I click wireless but don't change the settings. I just click the arrow/back button and as soon as the little wheel stops all my gifts reappear. I kept count first time and it worked. It's worked great since however, waiting on so many gifts to go into inventory is a little slow.

Hi, Weezer, does that work if you have thank-you's in your gift box too?

Also just wanted to let my friends know that I thought I'd be too busy/tired this week to visit/gift so I left a post in away notifications but so far I've managed to still make time to do some of both. I still may be sporadic over the next week. Sorry if that's the case.

@WoMa it does for me. I usually get rid of them first but I've had some pop in during multiplying and they've just come back also. Anyone that tries this should probably try it on a couple test gifts first. Better safe than sorry.

Weezer-- does this way allow you to make more copies than just the doubling/cloning?

So your wi-fi is always on, even when you accept gifts? Per the procedure posted by GREY, I have airplane mode on (wi-fi off) when I accept gifts. I sometimes fat finger double click on button by mistake or kindle is slow and I think I missed the accept button and go to press it only to have device change it from accept to thank just as I hit it. Then I toggle back to turn airplane mode off (wi-fi on) and toggle back to game for gifts to reappear. Wi-fi off is safer for me as thanked by mistake gifts also reappear for next round.

What is the benefit of wi- fi off? Does it retain Gifts after you exit the game? Once I exit or if it "stops unexpectedly" (that one really cracks me up! I expect it shut down all the time! Her hee!) They all just vanish into the ether, so sometime I never actually get them even once! If my wi fi is off the gifts don't even show up.. This is a nexus 7. Thank you guys

Yes wifi is always on when I accept gifts. I just go to the WiFi screen and back to force the game to refresh itself. I never close gift box until I'm done. I noticed if I do and open it back up the gifts won't reappear. I found that out yesterday. I was at work multiplying and a customer came in so after my gifts reappeared I closed out of gift box and when I had time to go back I only got one more copy. However, the new gifts that came in while I was busy at work did reappear. Like I said anyone that wants to try it should test it out first. I do think it should work because it seems to be just a matter of the gift screen refreshing itself but I wouldn't want anyone to lose anything important. It's just faster for impatient people like me. ;) It's all a matter of preference. Happy gaming peoples!

@Marg. I'm not completely sure what the benefit is. I'm no techie! :) I do know when I was multiplying using the method of turning my wifi on and off I could exit gift box or game and come back and multiply again. My gifts show up when wifi is off but I can't access gift box. I think turning wifi on and off is just another way to force gifts to refresh themselves.

This is what I think happens with what I do,
Game server knows gifts were sent to device gift box.
Open gift box.
Keep GAME open and toggle to turn wi-fi off (airplane mode on).
Toggle back to game and accept gifts, try not to thank yet (gifts removed from gift box but GAME server not told).
Close gift box to move gifts to inventory.
Toggle to turn wi-fi on (airplane mode off).
Toggle back to game (game server sees sent gifts not in device gift box and resends them).
Open gift box and repeat process to multiply gifts as desired.
On last pass, don't turn off wi-fi and thank after accepting gifts, close gift box (game server told sent gifts accepted, updates files, and then sends thank you gift to sender).

@weezer--i just tried your way and still could o lying double my gifts. Are you saying that you can do this as many times as you want, for example to get ten rather than just the two?

I'm going to try John's way next.

@john---your way works for me!!! Yayyyyyyyy! THANK YOU!

@lrf Yes I multiply things until I get sick of it this way. I have over 200 of many of the combining elements because I started doing it this way. I tested out different ways and found this way works best for me. I used to multiply exactly the way John does until I found this way. Sorry it didn't work for you. It's all the same, I just hate multiplying and this ways faster. Maybe it's just my device?

Glad to hear it works for you but the credit goes to GREY"s procedure not me.

I can multiple gifts with the Weezer wi-fi on method. I just have to remember to not close my gift box until the very end of all my rounds of multiplying. I like that my cloned gifts have a green accept button while any new gifts have their original red accept button. I ignore those while multiplying the green cloned one's. It sounds like I hit a jackpot on a slot machine when I do finally close the gift box to load all of the copied gifts into inventory. I still have to be careful to not accidentally hit the thank button by mistake while multiplying or that gift disappears and can't be further duplicated. Thanks Weezer it is quicker.

I got the original way from an older post too. Sorry, I didn't intend to give or steal credit to or from anyone. I actually have to give credit to gorlac because that's how I got the idea to try new way of multiplying but I'm not sure if he originally came up with the idea. I just wondered if it could work for anyone else. :)

I think as long as the game refreshes your list, you can multiply indefinitely, as long as you stay in the gift tab. The wi-fi/airplane mode as far as I can tell is just one method of causing your game to refresh. It does tend to be the slowest method. I suggested that Weezer try to find a way to get that little wheel to spin by experimentation on her Kindle, without toggling the wireless mode. This can always be done without accepting a gift, by going into your gift box area and not tapping accept/thank, but just experimenting leaving and returning to that screen, while not completely quitting from the game. For me, on a Nook tablet (Android), all I do is tap the window minimize icon twice. Once to minimize, once to regain the focus. Once I do that, the wheel spins and the previously accepted gifts return to be accepted again. On my Samsung phone, I just tap the power button twice and it refreshes the gift list. The most important part of course is to always remain in the gift tab while multiplying. As a matter of fact, if you stay in the gift box long enough, the game will refresh automatically and reset your gifts. I've done that numerous times.

If you leave that gift tab, depending on the state the gifts are in (Accept/Thank), depends on whether you will see them still in your box. If I multiply gifts and exit the gift area with them in the Accept state, they are still in the box, ready to be tapped exactly one more time, before they stay in the Thank state. If I exit while they say Thank, then they go into inventory and are purged from the gift box.
