CurseMode issues with multiple plays without reward
I have read several of the posts and questions 're: curse mode. I have now played palatial & misty almost 30 times each without getting the object I need. I understand getting into curse mode. Having to play this many times for an object seems excessive & has greatly cut my enjoyment of the game. What is the limit on plays without reward?

Hi Cheetah :-) May I suggest that you look in the 'can be found' section when you go in to play the picture, to see if the item you want is there BEFORE you play out the anomaly mode. If it is there you can activate a brown horseshoe, hire a sleuth then scatter the anomaly. If you don't get the item then play the room again straight away in text mode. This often works - hope it helps :-)

Hey Cheetah, I don't think there is a limit. This might not be true, but I will throw an idea out there. I noticed a couple of quests, one in palatial, and one in the library (I think) that the room also has to be at a certain level. This is just an observation, and might not be correct. I know the one in the palatial was the worse. I know I played that room more, and had it leveled up much higher than any other room before the game finally gave me the item. Sorry, I know this doesn't help, and I could be way off base. Is the item giftable? If so, you might ask for it and move on.

Cheetah - what items are you looking for? They may be giftable and you could put them on your wish list :-)

Also try using the hints for the object you're looking for. I've found items in modes other than what was originally assigned.

I have found that out on occasion it is more likely to give the item up (assuming as Sue said it is actually available) if you use a tool to banish it. The item is often given up as a prize for the banishment without having to playing the picture.
