Question & Answers
Is anyone else's game trying to get rid of their bad gifts?
For the past day my box has been full and I couldn't figure out where my new gifts (and TYs) went. Tonight I discovered that my new gifts are now appearing at the front of the gift box and pushing my bad, corrupted gifts further and further to the back where gifts tend to disappear to make way for TYs. It seems my game is actively attempting to rid my game of corrupt gifts. I guess I should be happy. Oh well, it looks like I will be multiply the usual way when my bad gifts fall into oblivion.

Hey, I just sent you a pm. That last two times that I have gifted you, I've received that popup that you haven't been playing! Not sure what that's about. Just thought you should know.
Answer from: BettyBoop
I get it , too. Another thing that happens with you is that when I send you a gift, I don't get the message "your gift has been sent" ,so I try again, and then it tells me I can only gift you once a day and won't let me try again. Are you getting gifts from me?
Answer from: PatL
Xanthus, as far as I know, gifts don't disappear spontaneously. At least I haven't seen it and haven't heard of it, although of course G5 has mysterious ways from time to time. What I **have** heard of happening, although it hasn't happened to me, is gifts being reordered back-to-front. Are you sure you've seen gifts disappear? If so, that's a new one on me!

Got the not been playing message last two days also when tried to send you some arrows. Will try again tonight.
Answer from: Aria
Nope, gifts *have* been disappearing. First I thought that some of my friends have stopped gifting me regularly. Then Kathie contacted me and I explained that I hadn't been getting gifts from her much lately but she has been sending me gifts daily. She has a NoTY so of course she wouldn't notice that I hadn't been getting gifts from her since I wasn't thanking her.
ANYWAY, last night I saw several gifts from her and a few other friends as I was scrolling through collecting TY gifts only. I was interrupted by incoming message (I play on an Android phone) so I closed the gift window and minimized the game. When I reopened it about ten minutes later, I had the same number of gifts as when I closed it but several of the gifts from friends had disappeared completely, never collected, and were replaced by new gifts (not TYs) from other friends. I only had 21 gifts so it wasn't some amazingly large number I couldn't remember what all I saw.
And this is not the first time in the last couple of weeks this has happened - it's just the first time that I can confirm that's what happened as I had been paying careful attention looking out for Kathie's gifts. So many of my friends have NoTY in their names these days though, or only want one thank you even if they TT and send multiple gifts, I'm guessing they don't realize I'm not receiving (all) their gifts.

I also have received the message your friend hasn't played in a long time try back later the last three times I have sent gifts. I did receive your gift yesterday fine. Of course the game deleted the items from my inventory and my 50/10 count. Have you received gifts from me?
Answer from: Aria
Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread, Xanthus, but one other example that made me really begin to notice. Often when I ask for a collection item, as soon as I notice that I've gotten one of it, I take it from my wish list - unless I really need to make multiple combinations of the item, I prefer to get them by playing and have combination items on my WL.
About 2 weeks ago I requested Mi'lady de Winter (Tavern)...I think that's her name. Anyway, almost as soon as I put her on my WL, Lynne and OneMoreKin sent me one each. I immediately closed the gift window, removed her from the WL and returned to the game window to collect. Only the item from Lynne was there and instead I had a carrot from someone else where OneMoreKin's gift had been. I felt certain I hadn't collected it but where could it have gone, right? So I checked my items, it wasn't in my inventory. I closed and refreshed the game - still gone and an arrow Lynne had sent was also gone - I hadn't collected any items.

It was the same like by DonnaK and Betty Boop for me and I get a TY from you, there must something come through. At my kindle I had notice that sometimes gifts disapear when they were duplicated often. New incoming gifts let them go away and take their place in the list. So I do not let things in the giftbox for duplicate later more cause they could be changed against new gifts.

Got the same "your friend hasn't played in awhile " message when I tried gifting you although I have received gifts and visits from you. Hope you are able to get this fixed. Not a problem to keep you as a friend, just can't gift. Chillgirl

Just woke up to a full gift box and now in the process of cleaning up. Should be good to get gifts in a few.
Answer from: SandyK4
Your problem of disappearing gift may be because you close the window and go into your game. If you are multiplying and close the window by going out of the game you can come back and collect the gifts again, but if you close it by going into the game you maybe losing your gifts that way.

Wow, Aria, I'm convinced. The carrot story was really interesting. I've been getting more carrots, bugs, etc than usual and wondered why so many friends were sending them when I wasn't asking for them. I bet they were transmogrified gifts. More weirdness from G5!!!
