How do I use the orange rug in this game! I've been stuck forever and am about to poorly rate this game

Ok so u must go into the apartment room in chapter 3 and go into the future where everything is messed up. There is a door to the other room near the lamp and u must tear off the wallpaper then there is a door but no handle. go back outside to the other apartment room door next to the HOTEL sign and try to open the door and you break off the handle. go back into the room, open the door and change it back to the past. there is a window in the back of the room and break it with the stick you have. then put down the carpet on the window and go through. you are now in chapter 4

You have to get into the room that is outlined behid the wallpaper in the apartment. Once you do, break the window and use the rug to climb out into the alley by the butcher.

Use the rug on the window after you brake the window with the police steak from the car.. You will be able to use the rug in the future I think.. It's a small window on the far right..you will be able to go upstairs to the orange room in the present to get wallpaper glue..
