Hi, this only happens when you have more than one empty counter available at that time. If there is only one empty counter available and you tap the two dishes, they will combined together onto 1 counter. Unfortunately, if you have already clicked on the two dishes, and they have taken two individual counters, there is nothing you can do to reverse this action. Make sure that if you only want the 2 dishes to be on 1 counter, you will have to have only 1 counter available. Hope I helped. :-)

How do you "tap" on 2 dishes at the same time to combine them to a counter? I have one counter open, but not seeing a way to get 2 dishes to 1 counter. Please help. Thanks!

@Maddie: you don't have to tap on them at the same time. If you have 1 counter and 2 of the same dishes, just tap one dish to serve, then the other, and they should be served on the same counter.
