Where did my Smurfs go?

I wonder where my 6 smurfs on the island are. maybe there was a glitch because prior to my missing smurfs on the island, there was a task from papa smurf wherein i need 6 smurfs to finish that task. i already finished that task when i realized that six of my smurfs are gone. Does anybody here have the same situation?

I have the same issue. I close the app out and then go back in and the smurfs are there then. My smurfs go missing on both islands.
