I have already dug up grandpas long johns but now it says he wants to go on a hike for me to bring him his long johns. How do I bring them to him?

All you have to do is dig in a random spot.

All you have to do is on the mountain place the digging thing and a smurf will come along and dig in that spot and after awhile you will dig up the long johns

Grandpa's tasks are random. Sometimes they repeat several times. You just have to keep doing what Grandpa asks. Little hint: as soon as you dig up one of Grandpa's tasks, tap on him again BEFORE you tap on the other digs. Sometimes he asks for something that is awarded by existing digs.
