No way to get Gold other than buying it?

Hi all, have Valor on both devices iPhone and iPad. But the amount of Gold I have is different. On one device I have 30 on the other 60 Gold. Didn't notice if I have done anything providing me with more gold, so asking the community if there is some knowledge? Thx in advance!
