I do not know for ipod or ipad... in umk ds select any character then select any pillar lose let timer run out. Now tap the 1st block 1X tap 2nd block 2X 3-3X 4- 4X 5- 4X. On player select screen it's the center block in between Kano and Sub-Zero

To unlock Ermac on IPod or IPad select arcade mode and do warrior mode. After you complete warrior mode select the Yin Yang and then you'll have Ermac. Although warrior mode is pretty tough.

I've tried the third symbol ( the yin yang) and all it did was face me against motaro
