Erratic Scoring

Has anyone noticed that the scoring is erratic ? Does each coloured ball or shape have a different value. Sometimes I remove 6 and score 1 and then I might remove 8 and the score jumps to say 14 !! 'the game version of crack' - hilarious but so true. I say I'll just play a qick game and an hour disappears.
