Question & Answers
How to get past Sicily?!
Ok, so I really like this game, and I burned through the campaign. However, I've done all of the free (by meaning, no dog tags needed and no special weapons necessary) and Europe is still not unlocked. Do I have to buy a bazooka to play that one level to the far west, or do I have to pay dog tags for Europe?
Answer from: REM
You can not unlock the Europe map without completing all the missions on the Sicily one. You do need to buy and equip the bazooka to play that mission as is the requirement, however once in the mission you can un-equip it and choose an alternative weapon if you prefer but you do need it or the grenade launcher for the tanks.

To unlock the European campaign, you need to complete the mission Gray Church (the mission to the far west in the Sicilian campaign. To unlock Gray Church, you first need to complete the missions The Ruin, Fancy Road, Bridge-Head, Bridge-End, and The Courtyard. You will need the M1A9 Bazooka to complete some of these missions. In order to get to the last campaign mission, you will need to complete many missions that require the M1A9 Bazooka. Some missions require the M1 Garand M84 (a sniper rifle), but you can skip these missions and still get to the end of the campaign. I recommend you save up for the M1A9 Bazooka (3000 dog tags) first so you can complete the campaign. Then purchase the M1 Garand M84 when you have more dog tags so you can play the missions you skipped.
You'll find that some of the later missions are very difficult to compete, so you should also consider purchasing the M30 Schmeizer (1500 dog tags). This SMG is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It kills any enemy in one or two shots while hip-firing, and is always a one-hit-kill if you aim down the sights. It destroys jeeps with two rounds fired from the hip or one round while aiming down the sights. Its power is the same as that of the M1 Garand M84, and it is fully automatic with cheap ammunition. This weapon makes the campaign much easier to complete.
