Collection meaning of X

When you complete a collection and redeem, what does pirate flag then X mean? And just the X in general??

This is just my theory, but once you've completed that collection with the pirate flag and the x it means that once you reach the jackpot stage you won't ever land on pirate flag (50 coins) ever again!! So much higher winnings :) hope this helps.
