How do i combine the timber splinters/pieces?

This part is when you take the splinters out of the tv and have to combine them, i have been stuck on this for a while and its really doin my head in, none of the nasty little pieces go together.. help coz i cant move on with the game

Drag and drop the pieces to the bottom of the screen... They do fit... if you have a positive "match" it will be stuck by itself
