What do i do with the levistone?

What do you have to do with the levistone? there is a guy in the town, south of the cave where you get the levistone, who wants one. and also a guy in the cave above the canal that the dwarf makes. but i can't give it to either one of them, so what do i do with it?

Go to south, down crescent lake use boat, see the desert and go to desert, select menu, key item select levistone and got the ship and fly around see the town of gaia.
