Actually idk if there is a way to lvl up on the game but i do know that the caves you go in are helpful enough to lvl you up a lot, i'd try doing a few fights in the first 2 dungeons (the one where you retrive prince's crown and where the minotuars appear)

Go to provoka in north west, you will found dead end. found the monster, like minotaurs zombie, allosaurus, wyvern, winter wolf, hill gigas, and troll. They will give you lots a exp and gil
