How do I balance the books
I've been playing through the game and I'm at a point where my expenses are too high. The cotton farms and the distilleries I was told to build are costing more than I am taking in. How do I use these to make money?

Im still struggling with this as well. the best option i have come up with is a spreadsheet about the auto trading. its supposed to be a strategy, but i yet to find one for this game. in the beginning i usually build nothing. ill setup my auto trading screen and let my ships do their thing. once im upto about 500k plus them ill build maybe 1-2 things at a time NEVER falling below 500k. i have found this is a decent amount to coushin yourself incase of a failed strategy. Priority is saving once your established. then you can always just repeat and correct what went wrong. and Yes frequent saving is recommended.
