I notice a whole year has gone by since your question was asked and absolutely no answer has been given. . .hmmmm. i am in the same situation. interesting, isn't it? i think this game should be updated with the time limit for 8-12 totally removed! the little hourglass time "helps" are useless--they extend the time about 5 seconds. if there was no time limit on 8-12 we could definitely beat this level. it has ceased to be a fun game and is just a source of frustration! maybe we should complain =) to the game maker!

Try the following: enter the "\atlantis quest\levels" directory. you will see the map directories for all levels. by opening the .map files you can alter the playing time, and also alter the place of the different pieces in de playing field. this way you can play level 8:12! note: this procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding.

I did it!!! This time everything (what are the "odds" of that happening?) just went my way. I was able to move all the pieces out very quickly and use the "helps" to drop them off the screen! Yay! It only took 1 1/2 years of playing a lot, but I did it! 8-12 is the final level--I actually thought there were more levels to come, which is why I was so frustrated with 8-12! I started a new game and now I don't seem to be able to lose---what is that all about? Sigh. I need to find a new game. Tinkerbell, I want to try your suggestion about altering the playing time, etc., before I move on though. Good luck everybody--you can do it!! :)

I DID IT!! Two months after starting this game. the only way to do it is to have enough timers and lots of spades, and hammersm and of course lives. you can do it. i got to the last level - 8-12, with 9 lives and 21 timers, 13 spades and 6 hammers and it was a breeze. finished it with 9 lives still in hand and used up around 10 timers. i didnt use them one at a time. i used the 10 timers all together so i had enough time and wasnt too stressed. Hope this helps. Good luck everyone.

Hey Sumitha! Congratulations! I also did exactly what you said--I saved every single one of my "helps" and used them on 8-12. I won again with "helps" to spare. Now, I've got my husband addicted to this silly game :)!

It took me a good four months to get through 8-12 but I finally did it. The trick is to save as much time as possible. With 26 on the clock I was finally able to do it. Also I refused to give up.
