I always wait until my city is up & running before going out & exploring the area, try & get the territory that's directly right of your starting area & build your walls asap. don't explore further than the settlement where you can buy sheep & Cows from (it's a little South West of your City). You'll need a tone of Stone for this mission so be sure to build a stonecutters hut in the territory to the right of your city & in the city itself. You might want to get things set in place before reaching the title of Baroness to give yourself a chance. Their is a ruin on a hill just a little south of your city across the river where you can get free gold to help get the territory's you need quickly. Use your starting troops to clear the lions out of the territory to the right of settlement their loss won't effect you in a bad way. Once you've got your walls built & your resources like wool milk iron ect all off the group focus on the title upgrades.
