6 totems in the valley

When I click 1 and 6 totems in the valley it jumps straight to Adam in the Floating Garden. I cannot then complete the six as nothing happens. It says in the walkthroughs that you jump to Adam AFTER the six combinations have been done. Is this a fault in my game.
