2nd Tutorial doesn't work

I was (and still am) looking forward to playing East India Company, but each time I try, the second tutorial will not load, and I am unable to proceed further. Most frustrating. Do I need a patch, or is there some other gimmick? Having reached the grand old age of 71, I am not really computer literate, so the answer will have to be relatively simple. Thanks in anticipation.
