So there's this unknown string id on my virtual families an my person won't open it how do I gt them to open it?!

Drag your person to the computer. This usually makes them read it.

Just drag your adopte to any of computers in the office work room. but beware some of it will be payment like taxses it happens when you are rich and some is earning money.
