Nefarious Troubalious

I have a problem beacause i have to battle Nefarious, but i only get to the second arena where he starts shooting a purple laser and fires rockets from the sky. I fail everytime and i cant beat him. Can someone help me?

What I did was strafe and quickly attack and jump. If that doesn't work, just take cover behind debris.
