I'm stuck on the level right after you free the pegasus were you have to crank the gate open i can't get past it please give me some advice

When you fight the dogs there is two boxes at the end and there are skeletons they are stucked with a rope in the roof break all the skeletons and a human will fall this human is dead take him and take him to the circle in the downstairs and the gate will be open
