High Scores but not that high!

I have a hard time in getting a gold and silver. Is there something im missing? I dont hit does, I dont use the rifle on the ducks, I use the proper gun for what it is needed for, I hit hidden items. I just cant get good scores for some reason. I have been playing this for about 4 months on and off but mostly on. Ill save this page to my favs and check this from time to time. thanks
