Monster book of monsters help me

Once you get the book of the self you find it sleeping i got it out of the bench but for some reason it wont let me target it and i can't stun it how do i do this help.

When you take it out by casting wingardium laviosa on the slippers and drop it after that you don't have to stun it just turn quickly and their you will see a pile of books cast wingardium laviosa on it and drop it on the monster book of monsters
