Lovegood's lunacy
I'm stuck at the part where you have to spin the pumpkin at death. every time i try it doesn't throw just spins and falls. is there anyway i can just pass this party and keep continuing?

Use your analog stick and tilt it to the left as you rotate the pumpkin. if you do it any other direction it will fail. so as you throw the pumpkin, tilt the analog stick to the left and you should be able to hit death.

Once you get the pumpkin up off the ground push z to spin it then left with the analog stick to throw

Finally!!!! somebody who could clearly explain how to get past these stupid pumpkins! i did not know about the "push z to spin it". so it truly is three separate steps that must be done in order: use b to lift it, press z to spin it, then analog stick it to the left, (not left-up,) and release to throw it. thank you lozza, you have saved my sanity. i was ready to write to king 5 problem solvers to complain about this game.
