Chapter 2, landing deck gate

I was wondering if anyone can open de gate in chapter 2 on the landingdeck ? i destroyd the enemy's and shot the locks of the gate, but on the left next to the cannon there is a gate with a button behind it. i'm curious if someone knows how to open this gate.

You need a skylander of life, go on edge where grass is pale green and by doing so a bridge of branches will apear.the edge is befor a lock gate. good luck!!
