No i maxed the whole game out and the only time u can b some one els is in the arena not the story mode

On story as long as you're not player 1, besides kirby you can be king dedede, meta knight and waddle dee

You could have a second remote, then you put pink kirby on p2's back and then the screen is centered on you so you can play as whoever you want!!! just be careful not to let pink kirby falloff!!!!

In story mode, no. however, if you beat arena/true arena with Kirby, you can play as anyone you want, but ONLY in True Arena/The Arena

In arena or true arena, beat it once and play as any character. Or have 2 Wii motes and have kirby jump on the 2nd player for a piggyback ride. This will disable some moves.

No but if you can finish the arena than you can be waddle dee, meta kight and king deedee!
But in story mode you can't. Sorry.
