Can't get back to Gotham City from end of Level 2

When I try and go back to GC at the end of Level 2, game freezes with "tips" across the top of the screen and the batman symbol spinning in lower right corner.....any ideas?

I also have this problem....what map?....there's nothing at the top left of the screen!!!!
