Lost city of Arcus glitch ?
To open the door with the 2 lasers, the first push block on the right hand side is floating over the gap it should fall into as you approach it? This isn't the start position it is in in the level walk through? Any ideas ? Thanks for any advice. My 5 year old is going crazy!

I take it you're talking about the final door? After a big fight with some Mega Sword knights and some Mega-Laser-Shield guys? (Get a Giant to pick up the stone in the corner, BTW, to reveal a secret).
The door I believe you're talking about, there's a short staircase before a long staircase, and in between you can go left or right, each side with a beam puzzle to open the final big door. The left side is fairly straight forward, the right is a pain, you have to solve it without the beam to help you.
As you turn right from the staircase, there's a round button, then a block should be after it to continue your path. The thing is, that button lowers 2 blocks: The one allowing you to walk on, and 1 in the background blocking the beam. Hit the button again and get off of it to the right to walk across the block. Then there should be a push block to push to the left, towards how you came in, then push it down to drop it to walk across.
Then there's a tower of 2 blocks and a crystal, it's hard to see the arrows on top. Up-Left-Left-Down to drop the two blocks and align the crystal, then back to the button to drop the two blocks again and unlock the door.
Hope this helps! If not, please be more specific about what your problem is. :)

I play the Xbox 360 version and the same thing just happened to me. Had to quit the level because there was no way to complete it. Not impressed.

If you two TRULY mean what it sounds like you do, a true graphical glitch where things don't look right... I once saw a pumpkin (in the Life gate on Rumbletown) leave its actual position and float away into mid-air out of reach. I walked away, putting the pumpkin's proper position off screen, when I returned the pumpkin was back where it was supposed to be.
So two suggestions:
1) Try that, walk away so that the offending block is off screen, then return, see if it now looks right.
2) Pretend the block is where it should be. This might only be appearances, it might still work like it should. Cross the block that raises and lowers and go to the right, looping around the back, then walk left along the edge, towards where the block should be, see if your character does the pushing animation. You might be able to get it to work, even if it looks wrong. If you do a push, remember you then have to push it downwards.
