Nooks upgrade nookways to nookingtons for the 2nd
Nooks once was upgraded to nookingtons but then degraded to nookways. how do i get it to go back up to nookingtons? please help thank you

Really if you haven't been playing let's go to the city for quite a while you may degrade back to nook way but to get back to nookingtons you have to become higher on your status

You have to spend over 150,000 bells at nookway then it will say at the bulletin board that nook has decided to upgrade his store. hope it helps :)

Did he ask you a question what do you like in a store????
you should have entered 'variety' and he would have kept it as nookingtons
but if you pressed any of the other answers like 'long hours' he could even degrade back to nooks!!!!!!
