I found out that if you send a letter with a fruit in it to someone in your town that they will often send fruit or presents back. i've gotten oranges cherrys and pears this way. i sent them coconuts. i don't kno if itl work sending them default fruit. cause i never received anything when i sent them peaches. yet! but you can get fruits from others town and now and then a coconut will wash up on the shore. if it does , take it ,plant it. and it will grow. then repeat. don't plant in sand. plant by water in grass.

If you send a letter to an animal in your town with the word "fruit" and a piece of fruit, they will sometimes send you fruit that you don't have. you cannot always count on it but it only worked once for me. hope this helps!! :)
