You need to have put in at least 200,000 to get anything if still nothing happens go up to pelly and ask to put more money in, and she will say that you cant because they are already building something

Keep finding fossils and then when u have filled your pocket sell them to tom nook and he will give you loads of money and keep doing that for loads and if u collect 200,000 you will get a new bridge built.

500,000 for a fountain built in front of the bus stop you don't get to pick where to put it and
1,000,000 for a windmill or a light house you can pick but i think the best is a windmill thats my suggestion not yours pick which one you want!!!!!!!!

The top comment is right about how much money to put in and what you get. But instead of selling fossils to get money, use the bell rock. ( you do not need the golden shovel) simply dig to holes next to a rock in your town ( not to close or no money will come out) and bash the rock with your shovel. Bells will come shooting out. If you do it right on the wii you should get up to 8,100 bells a day! ( you can only use this method once a day and it is not in every rock, you need to find the right rock)!!!
