Golden shovels can make money trees and get you more money when you hit the money rock than if you used a normal shovel.

Firstly, you must have at least 2 shovels. dig a hole with one of your shovels then bury the other. once you have waited one day, and.. dig it up and... you will have your golden shovel!!!! if you want too get silver stuff..[silver net, silver fishing rod etc...] you will need too check every day in tom nook's store to see if he has them or not. finally, if you want the silver shovel, you will need to obtain it from resset's servillance center in the city at about 8:30 pm but at some times you won't be able to go in, somtimes you will.you just have too keep checking at all times. it dosn't matter what day, just keep checking. and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

You can get the golden shovel in less that 10 minuets with this method!
1. first buy 2 shovels.
2. dig a hole with one then go into pockets, click on other shovel then click "bury".
3. save and quit then go to wii menu.
4. change the date to 4 days later then go back onto animal crossing
5. find where you buried your shovel, dig it up then hey presto, you got a golden shovel!
